AI Statement

Artificial intelligence is part of how HAALO works. We use it to recover capacity, accelerate drafting and support research — so that our senior practitioners spend their time where it matters most: on judgement, interpretation and advice. AI is a productivity tool. It assists our people; it never replaces them, and it is never the final authority on any piece of HAALO work.

Every deliverable passes a 100% human check

Where AI has assisted in producing a document, a suitably competent HAALO practitioner reviews the document in full before it reaches you. Not a spot check, and never the AI checking itself.

That review confirms that every factual statement, figure, date and calculation has been independently verified against source data; that all regulatory references are correct, current and correctly applied; and that no unsupported or fabricated content is present. The professional judgement, assumptions and recommendations in the document are our practitioner’s own, not unchecked AI output.

A Director signs off every client deliverable

There are no exceptions. The practitioner who issues the work is professionally accountable for its accuracy and quality exactly as if it had been produced entirely by hand. Our human QA checks and Director sign-offs are recorded against the deliverable, so it is always clear who reviewed the work and when.

Your information stays protected

We abide by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 when using AI tools. We never enter client-identifiable, personal or commercially sensitive information into public or consumer AI tools. Sensitive project context is handled only within our governed, Director-approved workspace, and inputs are anonymised or generalised wherever possible.

The tools we use

Our preferred and primary AI partner is Claude (Anthropic), used through a governed HAALO team workspace. Only tools approved by our Directors may be used on client work, and any new tool must be approved before it is used.

Governance and review

This statement reflects HAALO’s internal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy, which applies to all HAALO Directors, employees, contractors and associates. We review that policy at least annually, and sooner if the tools, the regulatory environment or our professional obligations change materially.
